Cali prepares for Pacific Leather fair

Organisers say 125 companies will exhibit, the majority of them manufacturers of footwear and accessories, most of them local companies from the leather industry cluster that has grown up in the Valle del Cauca region, of which Cali is the capital.
Humberto Romero, president of Columbia-wide industry organisation Fedecuero, said in the build-up to the event: “Products from this part of the country are certainly in a position to compete with those made in other regions of Columbia because the levels of design, the quality of the materials and the detail in the finishing mean goods made in Valle del Cauca are in demand among consumers.”
