Riot follows tannery worker's death

Violence broke out after a 27-year-old tannery worker was
killed in an accident in Motinagar, New Delhi, on August 9.
The victim has been named as Mr Sharafatullah, while the
driver of the truck that allegedly hit and killed him has been identified as Mr
Munna. Mr Sharafatullah was badly injured at the scene and later died in
hospital.
Witnesses are said to have stopped the driver, beaten him
and attempted to set the vehicle on fire.
Police attended the scene and are now investigating the
incident. Roads in the area were temporarily closed and Mr Munna was reportedly
arrested at the scene.
