Chinese leather chemicals symposium takes place

The Chinese leather industry has held its ninth national leather chemicals symposium. The event took place at the coastal resort of Beidaihe in Qinhuangdao, Hebei Province over three days at the start of August.

In all 227 academics, industry experts and business representatives were invited to take part.

Vice-chairman of the China Leather Industry Association, Li Yuzhong, made an introductory speech and a detailed technical programme followed.

The next symposium will take place at Sichuan University in 2014.
