07/08/2012
Several new developments from the company’s finishing range will make their first appearance at the fair. Particular emphasis will be given to the Neosan Lucido transparent pigment range for pure aqueous finishing. Based on a nanotechnology type of pigment dispersion, the new range creates opportunities in anionic and cationic finishing systems. Neosan Lucido will provide an aniline-like appearance for classical articles as well as fashionable shades without performance limitations, Clariant said in the build-up to the event.
High-gloss aqueous patent topcoat Aqualen Top APT is part of a range aimed at replacing solvent-based topcoats. Alongside this, Clariant will launch a new range of low volatile organic compound (VOC) topcoat products for fine leathers, for example for footwear and bags.
The company will unveil a range of syntans offering economy as well as formaldehyde-free specifications. These products area Tanicor RS-38 Powder, Tanicor RS-40 Powder and Tergotan RE-5020 Powder. A new waterproofing agent, Dermaphob WA-71, has been developed for high-performance water-repellent shoe uppers.
In addition, the new Melio Softfix ANV, which can offer the tanner a working solution to the problem of improving fastness on nubuck and suede leathers, will also be revealed. A solution to anti-soiling properties for sofa leathers will also be a key highlight.
Visitors to ACLE will also have another opportunity to learn about the company’s Easy White Tan process, developed using the Granofin Easy F-90 liquid, an organic compound that is not based on chrome, phenols or aldehydes. It removes the need to add salt during the tanning process as well as reducing the number of stages in the tanning process itself, Clariant says.
The company will also present its latest fashion trend collection for season autumn-winter 2013-2014.
