Students visit TFL Academy in Italy

Leather chemicals manufacturer TFL organised a visit to its site at Montebello in northern Italy for an international group of students of leather technology just before the end of the academic year.

“The education of future generations is very important for TFL,” the company said after the event, adding that it intends to continue to do everything it can to support training institutes that have a specialism in leather.

Students from the University of Northampton in the UK and from the ITIS Galileo Galilei in Arzignano in Italy visited the TFL facility at Montebello and attended a workshop there covering leather applications for footwear, upholstery and apparel. They then visited one of the local tanneries, as well as the headquarters of several tanning machinery manufacturers in the Montebello-Arzignano area.
