Asian sales drive growth at Hermes

France-based leathergoods brand Hermes has posted a 22% increase in second-quarter sales. Sales for the period totalled EUR814.5 million.

Second-quarter sales grew 27% in Asia, excluding Japan, where revenues dropped 1.1%. Domestic sales grew 6.8%, with sales for the rest of Europe rising 16%. Sales for the Americas region rose 8.2%.

Leathergoods sales grew 7.4%, while silk and textile revenues rose 16%, and ready-to-wear and fashion accessories sales grew 22%.
