New leathergoods expo opens in Oman
Leathergoods exhibition Muscat A was officially opened on
July 9 in Oman by Ahmed bin
Sulaiman Al Maimani, undersecretary of the ministry of commerce and
industry for administrative and financial affairs.
The three-day event, which is the first of its kind of in
the region, is hosting 28 local and international leathergoods brands.
According to official figures, the value of the Oman’s leathergoods imports was
9.9 million rials ($25.7 million) in 2011, while raw leather imports totalled 471,000
rials.
