Bill Amberg relents and offers something for the ladies

London-based designer Bill Amberg, who specialises in leather bags, accessories and interior design projects, says he has relented under pressure from women customers and included new lines in women’s bags in his autumn-winter 2012 collection.

Available online and in the designer’s store in central London, the bags come in verdant, chestnut, mocha and tangerine. The verdant looks like an early view of the bright greens that trends experts say will dominate leathergoods and all aspects of fashion in summer 2013, as though Bill Amberg wanted to give women customers the chance to preview that freshness this coming autumn, put their new bags into storage for the dark winter months and be right on trend when they bring them out again in April and May 2013.

“The colour is going to be strong for spring-sumer 2013,” a spokesman for Bill Amberg told leatherbiz,  “and we have used a similar green, although it is a bit fresher. The timing is simple: it is a stunning colour and renders beautifully in the leather we have used.”
