Northampton professor achieves double distinction at ALCA

Professor Tony Covington from the University of Northampton’s Institute for Creative Leather Technologies travelled to the US at the start of June to take part in the annual convention of the American Leather Chemists Association (ALCA) on June 7-10 at the Grandover Resort, Greensboro, North Carolina.

Professor Covington was asked to deliver the main lecture at 2012 event, the John Arthur Wilson Memorial Lecture, on June 8. This is his second time as the speaker for the lecture, which he also delivered in 1998. He is the first person to give the John Arthur Wilson Memorial Lecture twice. The lecture is sponsored by Stahl USA.
