Pisa provincial president tours tanneries

The president of the provincial government of Pisa, Andrea Pieroni, visited a number of tanneries in Ponte a Egola on June 1.

Companies that he saw included Conceria Badalassi Carlo and CMC International. He was accompanied by Giuseppe Volpi, newly elected president of the tanners’ association of Ponte a Egola.

Mr Pieroni told tanners that the economic crisis Italy is going through is real, but he said that companies like theirs represented the region’s healthiest and strongest example of entrepreneurship. The strengths they have inside their companies, he added, include a skilled workforce, high-quality processes and products and international appeal.
