The first edition of Texprocess Americas, which took place April 24–26, was deemed a success by US-based luxury leathergoods brand Coach.

The event attracted 161 exhibitors from 11 countries including pavilions from China and Germany and SPESA-IT and SEAMS pavilions. Around 6,800 visitors from 62 countries attended.

Coach spokesperson Fernando Lobo said: "I participated in two symposiums: New Technology and Manufacturing Technology. The quality of the material presented the high energy of the presenters and the eye-opening presentations featured a great deal of innovation and improvements to the technology throughout the years. The best part of it was that all that technology was available for all to see at the show."

He added: "This was my first time attending the Texprocess Americas show. I was rather impressed with the technology available to the visitors and the extensive variety of well renowned companies around the globe dedicated to enhance the production of textiles, leather and fashion industries."
