Leather craftsman Antonios Romniou dies
Antonios Romniou, a retired leather craftsman and shoemaker, died on May 18 at the age of 83.
Originally from Samos, Greece, Mr Romniou moved to Worcester, Massachusetts, during the 1970s. He was best known for the custom-fitted shoes he made, and he was tasked with creating wedding shoes for Princess Anne Marie of Denmark and Princess Sophia of Greece.
A funeral service will be held at 11am on May 22 at St Spyridon Greek Orthodox Cathedral in Worcester.
