Machine manufacturers appreciate simple idea from Equitan
21/05/2012
The system uses a sheet of polymer with a calibrated thickness and constant dimensions. It is stable as it has no elastic memory and when fed through a staker it demonstrates the efficiency of the mechanical action of the staking machine.
Equitan has said that its test method is able to warn tanners about wear and tear in staking machines and highlight at an early stage the possibility of a change in results.
This innovation was developed in 2009, patented in 2010 and featured for the first time at Tanning Tech in October 2010. Its success in the market has been considerable with satisfied users around the world’s tanneries. But now Equitan has said staking machine manufacturers also appreciate the contribution such a simple idea can make towards providing a scientific base for the performance of staking machines.
