Stahl to open new laboratory in Turkey

A one-day international leather industry event took place in the Turkish city of Usak on May 16, organised by a local industry association.

More than 170 leather-sector professionals attended to take part in discussions about the state of the leather industry today and its prospects for 2020.

Chief executive of leather chemicals manufacturer Stahl, Huub van Beijeren, took part. He said: “We respect and support the Turkish tanning industry and are investing EUR 500,000 in a new laboratory in Usak.” The laboratory will open in August.
