ASEAN unity is the key for BIFF & BIL 2012

This year’s exhibition takes place in Bangkok from June 27 until July 1, with the general public having access on the final two days. DITP director general, Nanthawan Sakuntanaga, said the show’s objectives were to demonstrate Thailand’s potential as a regional leader and as a fashion hub, and to inspire fashion and leather designers and entrepreneurs.
A single focus for the industry across the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) is one of the main themes of BIFF & BIL 2012. Leather-sector and fashion companies working together across ASEAN, which encompasses ten different south-east Asian countries, can help make the region more competitive on a global stage, the organisers have said.
