ANCI will take Italian shoe brands to South Africa

ANCI will accompany 17 high-end Italian footwear brands to South Africa for the event, which will take place on May 14 and 15 at the Protea Balalaika Hotel in Johannesburg, led by Marino Fabiani, ANCI’s head of business in developing countries. Footwear importers from Angola and Mozambique will also take part.
Shoes from the companies’ autumn-winter 2012-2013 and spring-summer 2013 collections will be on show. The brands taking part are Borgioli Fratelli, Brunate, Cerutti, Eder Shoes, Emozioni, Evado - Multi Moda, Gianfranco Lucentini - Florian’s, Gianna Meliani, Giorgio Piergentili, Giovanni Fabiani, Luca Nencioni Joyks, Luzzi, Marino Fabiani, Mokas, Naturino - Moschino, Nila & Nila, Valentino Orlandi.
“Johannesburg will be a strategic opportunity to explore an emerging market like South Africa,” said Cleto Sagripanti, president of ANCI, in the build-up to the event. “The growing middle class of Africa is bringing about an interesting structural change in consumership that ANCI, with this initiative, seeks to understand and explore to its fullest.”
After an opening press conference on Monday May 14 there will be a presentation on fashion trends from specialist Milan-based consultant Aldo Premoli.
