Company president will continue at head of LVMH-acquired tannery
10/05/2012
Mr Ricomard will take responsibility for making sure Tanneries Roux maintains the strategy that helped it establish a 20-year partnership with LVMH and the luxury leathergoods brands it owns, including Louis Vuitton and Loewe, before being acquired by the group. It is this strategy, the tannery has said, that helped it produce what it describes as high-quality calf leather with a silky touch and great softness, suited to the needs of the very highest echelons of the leathergoods industry.
After the LVMH announcement, Mr Ricomard commented: “When a company that is the global number-one in the luxury sector and a leading light among French manufacturing firms takes an interest in you, it’s a wonderful tribute to everyone who has helped make Tanneries Roux what it is, a creative and innovative source of skilled labour since 1803. But our strategy has not changed and we will still serve everyone in the luxury industry.”
