China: Huidong city exports 53.5m shoes in Q1

The exported value of women’s footwear for the city of Huidong in Guangdong Province, China, was $3.3 million, with 53.5 million pairs exported. This is higher than the previous four years, according to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA).
There are 4,800 footwear factories in Huidong city, which produce 700 million pairs of shoes per year.
