Conceria Mastrotto offers 48-hour service on leather in 230 colours

High-profile Italian tannery Conceria Mastrotto has said clients, including stylists, pattern-makers and designers can avail themselves of a service it calls Colors – Just In Time, with enough stock in its warehouse to enable client companies to make a capsule collection in any one of 230 colour choices.

Chief executive, Chiara Mastrotto, has explained the service by saying: “Our strength is the rich assortment of colours from the latest colour trends that can be on the client’s desk in 48 hours. This is what has distinguished Conceria Mastrotto in the leather industry for over 50 years.”

A website showing the range of colours on offer, www.vesuviocolors.com, has undergone a revamp. Clients can choose to order four different types of leather as part of Colors — Just In Time.

These are a milled suede with a thickness of between 1.2 millimetres and 1.4 millimetres, ideal for footwear and leathergoods and available in 100 colours, Conceria Mastrotto has said. There is also a full-grain cow hide with a soft milled feel available in 70 colours, as well as a waxed, brushable suede with, the company says, “a sporty, lightly vintage feel” in thicknesses between 1.4 and 1.6 millimetres, suitable for casual and classic shoes and available in 25 colours. Finally, a soft suede split at thicknesses between 1.0 millimetre and 1.2 millimetres, is also available in 40 different colours, ideal for footwear and leathergoods, Conceria Mastrotto has said.
