Gruppo Mastrotto exhibits leather trends for spring-summer 2013

A wide variety of hides that the company feels will meet fashion companies’ needs for that season were on display at the Gruppo Mastrotto stand, with the colours and textures put together by the company’s own style department.
There were four trends and moods for the season: Graphic Contrasts, Unconscious Discoveries, Rough Sophistication and Colour Blocks.
“Graphic impressions with geometrical fragmentation that allow interplay between transparency of line, contrasting weaving backgrounds and strong colours,” was the description the company gave for the first of these, whereas Unconscious Discoveries is more about those little pleasures that are found amidst “the normal certainty of everyday life”, including the freshness of spring flowers and the spontaneity of the “first rays of sun that warm and temper the soul and spirit”.
Rough Sophistication recalls the sophisticated aspect of the leather, where the star is the material, “with the rugged look of an explorer”. The colours here are taken from the earth and are expressed on full grain leather, smooth or enriched with light reptile effects, or they expand through shades thanks to aged split cowhide.
Finally, Colour Blocks celebrates “an explosion of colours and contagious energy”, the company said, with “new forms of interior emotion” shaping smooth materials and velour hides.
