Turkish company buys Lumberjack shoe firm

Verona-based Italian shoe company Lumberjack has been bought by Turkish company, the Ziylan Footwear Group, according to reports by local media in Turkey.

The director of Ziylan’s managing board, Mr. Aykut Buyukeksi said: “We have been negotiating with the inheritors of Lumberjack family and at last we completed the procedures and bought the factory together with the existing know-how and we will also bring the stylist team to Turkey. In the near future we are planning to buy four or five more foreign companies.

By this way we aim to increase our exports sales and will continue opening retail shops at 10 different countries, among them are Poland, Russia and Egypt.”
