Pakistan: leathergoods exports to EU rise

Pakistan’s Minister for Commerce, Makhdoom Amin Fahim, told the National Assembly recently that exports of Pakistan’s leather garments and goods to the European Union has increased from $318 million to $362 million from 2007 to 2010.

While quoting statistics, he said between January and October 2011, there has been an increase of 12.8% in the exports as compared to Jan-Oct 2010.

He said the exports of leather garments and goods stood at %318 million in 2007, $371.8 million in 2008, $324.9 million in 2009, $362 million in 2010, $299.4 million in Jan-Oct 2010 and $337.6 million in Jan-Oct 2011.
