Two new products from Trumpler

The first is Solvotan VM, a cationic fatliquor that can be used as a pre-fatliquor agent. It will prove particularly useful, Trumpler has said, for more anionic leathers (such as wet white and other chrome-free leathers), which require a high degree of inner softness and a fluffy, round handle.
Solvotan VM can also be applied with good effect in pickle and tannage (chrome-free and chrome). “Its use allows tanners to achieve a very fine, flat grain and improve the inner softness without any negative influence on the grain tightness,” Trumpler claimed at the time of the launch.
A special neutralisation agent for sole application, Trupotan NFN, is the second new product. It can “significantly improve” the grain condition and smoothness of raw material, according to the manufacturer.
