Ethiopian leather industry representatives visit Sudan

Representatives of various tanneries in Ethiopia have joined the African country’s Leather Industry Development Institute on a visit South and North Sudan with the aim of improving the supply of raw material to the Ethiopian tanning sector.

Quality of the hides and skins that come from Sudan’s large livestock population, transportation of the material and the trade mechanisms in place at the moment will be the main topics of conversation when the Ethiopian delegation meets its contacts in both countries.

South Sudan became an independent state in July 2011.
