Ferragamo to open first San Diego store
Italian fashion brand Salvatore Ferragamo will open its first San Diego store in April 2012.
The store will showcase the brand’s premier collections for women and men, as well as shoes, handbags, luggage, belts, eyewear and small leathergoods. The ready-to-wear collection is designed by the fashion house’s new creative director, Massimiliano Giornetti.
“The San Diego market is an important region for the network of national Ferragamo boutiques,” said Vincent Ottomanelli, president of Ferragamo USA. “An intellectual and creative community, the clientele in San Diego firmly understands and appreciates the qualities that define the House — luxury, style, tradition and innovation.”
The storefront features polished stainless steel and highlights the designer's iconic signature. The interior is designed with back-lit glass, traditional champagne-tone finished metals and imported polished limestone, with custom floors made from Mondrian walnut and Tunisian stone.
