Italian luxury brand Fendi recently showcased its womenswear collection for autumn-winter 2012-13, which features a number of leather and crocodile skin pieces in earthy tones.

Thick accessories, from leather belts to oversized collars, added an armoured look to the collection. Many of the clothes presented on the second day of Milan Fashion Week were stiff – made possible by the leather used – but with feminine touches including pleated skirts and puffy sleeves.

Silvia Fendi Venturini, who collaborates with Karl Lagerfeld, called the collection “strong, sweet and soft.”

Colours were mostly earthy brown, black and blue with some crimson, mustard and peacock.
