China: luggage and bags exports up 33%
The value of China’s travel goods and bags exports was $23.9 in 2011, the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) has reported. This represents a growth of 33% year-on-year, but is 7.9 percentage points less than the year earlier, in terms of growth rate.
Bag exports earned $17.5 billion with an export volume of 5.21 billion pieces, up 30% in value and 2% in volume. The export of luggage was 52.5 million pieces worth $530 million, recording a growth of 19% and 28% respectively.
