Chinese tanners export less semi-finished leather

Figures from the China Leather Industry Association show that exports of crust and wet blue from Chinese tanneries declined in 2011.

Semi-finished leather exports achieved a volume of 9,366 tonnes and revenues of $32.3 million.

These numbers represent a decline of 26.7% in volume and of 1.2% in value.
