Vietnam: footwear exports up 27.9% in 2011

According to the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Vietnamese Customs have reported that the country’s footwear exports for 2011 saw an increase of 27.9% to $6.6 billion. The EU, US and China are the three biggest markets for Vietnamese shoes.
Vietnam also imported much of its textile, shoemaking and leather making materials from China worth $4 billion.
