Indonesia and Pakistan reduce tariffs for over 500 commodities
The Indonesian and Pakistani governments have agreed to reduce tariffs for more than 500 commodities traded by both countries.
The agreement was cited in the Preferential Trade Agreement (PTA) that was recently signed by trade minister Gita Wirjawan and Pakistani ambassador, Sanaullah.
Indonesia offered tariff preferences for 216 products including leathergoods, fresh fruit, ready to wear clothing, sports equipment and other industry products. Meanwhile, Pakistan offered 287 products including coconut oil, candy, cocoa products, toothpaste, soap, rubber, as well as wooden and electronic products.
