Turkey can double leathergoods export values in three years

Recent reports suggest Turkish leathergoods brought in $350 million in export revenues in 2011, but the industry association believes that levels of demand for artisanal and handmade products will remain high, prompting its predictions of growth.
According to the organisation, Turkish manufacturers’ position as outsource manufacturing partners of prominent high-end fashion brands, including Prada, Hermès and Versace will also help boost the value of leathergoods exports in the years ahead.
