Belle reports Q4 sales up 8.2%
China-based women’s footwear retailer Belle Internationals Holdings of Hong Kong sharply increased the number of retail outlets in the mainland at the end of 2011. The firm added a net 1,100 retail outlets in China in the fourth quarter of 2011, and a net 2,983 for the full year, the company said in a statement.
The new additions brought the total number of mainland stores run by the company to 14,950 at the end of last year, Belle said.
The retailer also said that same store sales for the fourth quarter in mainland China (excluding Hong Kong, Macau and Taiwan) increased by 8.2% for the footwear side of its business.
