Rolls-Royce puts dragons on its leather interiors

11/01/2012
To celebrate the Year of the Dragon, which starts at Chinese New Year (January 23, 2012), luxury car manufacturer Rolls-Royce is introducing a special limited Year of the Dragon collection of cars.

Each car in the collection will have dragons painted onto the wheels and the same symbols embroidered into the leather upholstery in the car's interior.

This development also reflects a significant development for Rolls-Royce in 2011. For the first time, it sold more vehicles in China than in any other market. Of a record 3,538 vehicles sold throughout the year, almost one-third (31%) were bought by customers in China. China beat the US into second place by more than 100 units.
