Brazil publishes 11-month figures for hide exports

New figures from Brazil show that exports of hides and skins for the month of November had a value of $158.8 million and a volume measured at 26,500 tonnes. This represents an increase in value of 21% compared to November 2010, but a decline of 5% compared to October 2011.

Cumulatively, Brazilian hide and skin exports for the first 11 months of 2011 registered a value of $1.88 billion, 19% higher than for the same period the previous year, even though the volume of hides exported was 1% lower.
