Positive meetings with potential leathergoods buyers in Turkey

Turkish industry association the Aegean Region Leather Products Exporters Union organised a series of meetings with representatives with international retailers during the month of December.

According to reports from Turkey, the international retailers involved included Marks & Spencer, H & M, Hermes-Otto and Metro Group, whose representatives travelled to Istanbul to meet local leathergoods manufacturers.

President of the organisation, Suleyman Tahir said afterwards: “Our customers accepted the high quality of our leather products and as a result of these meetings we expect to increase our sales to $110 million in 2012.”
