A state-funded aid programme for the leather industry in Algeria will include the refurbishment of a tannery that closed after a flood in 2010.

According to local media, the El Amria tannery in Ain Témouchent in the north-west of the country will be completely renovated as part of the ongoing programme. The tannery was affected by flooding in 2010 and has remained out of action since.
