Ethiopia aims to earn $359.3m from leather and textile
Ethiopia has set itself a target to earn $359.3 million from the export of leather and textile in the coming year, the country’s Ministry of Industry has announced.
According to Melaku Taye, corporate communication director at the Ministry, the country expects to raise $206 million through the export of value added leathergoods.
Ethiopia earned $166.3 million from leather and textile exports this year, he said.
Ethiopian leather and textiles are mainly exported to Germany, China, India, the UK, the US and Italy.
