Go-ahead for new goatskin tannery in Argentina

06/12/2011
The authorities in the north-western Argentinean province of Catamarca have given the go-ahead for a new “community tannery”.

Specialising in small skins, particularly goat from farms in the east of the province, the tannery will be established in the town of Icaño.

Funding from the provincial government will come in two stages and will match investment from the federal government and from a group of towns in the Icaño area.
