Mulberry teams up with furniture group for new collection
UK luxury leathergoods brand Mulberry has collaborated with UK-based furniture company Indigo Furniture to create a new leather sofa and armchair range.
The new products include a sofa and two armchair designs, along with matching footstools to go with each design. All of these pieces feature Mulberry’s ‘Topkapi’ fabric design on the outer panels. The Mulberry fabrics come in two different colour designs, blue and bronze or red and gold, and can be matched with Indigo’s ‘Shabby’ or ‘Conka’ leathers.
Indigo Furniture’s new collection has a vintage look, and the company used high quality hides to ensure a soft, luxurious feel. The furniture pieces are created using a traditional 19th century technique which avoids rolling and skimming the leather to remove imperfections, as Indigo believes this type of process can lead to thinning, and therefore weakening of the leather.
