TFL publishes predictions for spring 2013 colours
25/11/2011
The company has divided the colour trends into two sections, Wearing and Living, the first comprising inspirations and colour trends for garments, footwear and accessories, with the second section featuring colours that TFL believes will dominate the season's interior design trends.
In Living the trend is for metallic and matt-finished decorative pillows and home accents,or semi-gloss and semi-precious wax finishes. Colours range from beige and brown tones to orange.
In Wearing there will be a combination of "the femininity of pearl-like colours with retanned buffalo leather and lamb nappa, offering a sense of weightlessness, as well as practical anti-stain finishing". Natural aspects, though classic for every season, have been incorporated into soft suede and nubuck surfaces combining earth tones with three-dimensional prints of small reptiles, dragonfly wings and crocodile, treated with oil-water repellent or washable finishing. Colours range from various red and orange tones to pastel tones.
The catalogue also features the TFL SELLA FAST A range which is a supplementary range of dyes, which the company claims can help tanners carry out more economic dyeing of hides.
