Leather technicians command high wages

One specialist leather garments manufacturer in the city confirmed that a leather technician with ten years’ experience could expect to receive a salary of around 10,000 RMB (more than $1,500) per month.
A footwear factory owner said in the same report that “the higher wage era” has come to Shenzhen, with skilled technicians receiving big salaries because they are in great demand.
