Italy is a model for Mongolia

Italy’s ambassador to China, Attilio Massimo Iannucci, has said the state of Mongolia is keen to open better commercial links with markets other than its two big neighbours, China to the south and Russia to the north.

He said the US, the European Union and, specifically, Italy were of interest. “Mongolia sees Italy as a first-rate partner, especially in certain key sectors such as tanning,” Mr Iannucci said. “The authorities there insist that Italy’s experience of promoting small and medium enterprises is a model of development that is particularly compatible with the socio-political circumstances that prevail in Mongolia.”
