Argentina and China to increase livestock cooperation
Argentina and China will improve cooperation on livestock development with the signing of agreements during the visit of a delegation led by Argentina's deputy minister of agriculture, Lorenzo Basso.
The documents include sanitary protocols on semen and bovine embryo exports, in keeping with China's interest to improve its livestock. A business meeting will help exchange data and arrange the enforcement of a memorandum of understanding signed last July on meat and milk production.
This visit from October 29 also involves tours of livestock facilities. Relations first began with the July visit by Argentina’s agriculture minister Julian Dominguez to China, which is the largest market for Argentina’s agricultural exports including leather, sunflower and peanut oils, barley, fish, dairy produce, tobacco, wool and wines.
