CLIA tanning committee meeting held in Beihai
The tanning committee of the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA) held a meeting and seminar on October 29-30 in Beihai city, Guangxi province. Led by CLIA president Su Chaoying, the present at the meeting were officials from Ministry of Environmental Protection, and industry experts and professors from China and Taiwan. A total of 170 people attended the meeting and seminar.
Director of the Ministry of Environmental Protection, Zhang Zhenyu, made a speech on the topic of national environmental protection policies.
Ms Su outlined the current situation of the industry, the challenges faced by the industry as well as related national policies concerned with environmental protection. Ms Su also predicted the future prospects of the industry.
