China: new Haining Leather Market opens in Xinxiang
A new leather market opened by Haining Leather Market on October 22, 2011 in Xinxiang County in China’s Henan province. The market is one of the largest in the area, and the leaders from the China National Council of Light Industry (CNCLI), the China Leather Industry Association (CLIA), Henan provincial government, Haining city and Haining Leather Market took part the opening ceremony.
The market covers an area of 80,000 square meters with 600 stores installed. About 90% of products sold in the market originate from Haining city, and 10% are locally produced products.
In recent years Haining Leather Market has become an influential leather retailer in China and has launched an expansion program, opening markets in Jiangsu and Liaoning provinces. According to the CLIA, Haining Leather Market will open its Beijing market and the market in Sichuan province in the near future.
