Change at the top for Northampton Institute for Creative Leather Technologies

Northampton university’s Institute for Creative Leather Technologies (ICLT) is to have new leadership. Dr Mark Wilkinson, who has worked as director of the institute since it was set up at the start of 2011, has now become its executive director, working on a part-time basis on business development and on building up external relationships between the ICLT and the global leather industry.

Rachel Garwood, until now senior lecturer at the institute, will be taking up the role of director of the ICLT. This will be in an acting capacity until the role is advertised (internally in the first instance).

Professor Tony Covington will lead research at the institute, with a specific remit to develop and exploit intellectual property.
