The ninth Chinese National Leather Chemicals Congress will take place in Beijing in August 2012, but the organisers have already issued a call for papers.

Organisers the Chemical Industry and Engineering Society of China, the China Leather Industry Association and the China Leather and Footwear Research Institute, have asked people interested in speaking at the event to submit an abstract by April 30, 2012.

Topics they want the congress to cover include trends and new technologies for the production of leather, shoes and leathergoods, as well as developments in waste management.
