US leather retailer Tandy Leather Factory has announced that it has opened its first store in Sydney, Australia this week. The store will operate under the name Tandy Leather Factory serving wholesale customers as well as the general public.

Jon Thompson, CEO and president, said: “With the opening of this store, we now have stores in four countries – US, Canada, UK and Australia. Australia has been a solid market for us for many years. We believe having a local presence there will further strengthen our market position and increase our Australian customer base. We have high expectations for the store’s performance as we work to increase our market share in that part of the world.”
