VW Golf to have leather as standard
German automotive manufacturer Volkswagen has announced that its models of Golf GT, GTI, GTD or R model will now have leather upholstery as standard, totalling £2000 in added value.
Previously, the black ‘Vienna’ leather was priced at £1,890, and brought with it electrical adjustment for the driver seat and both passenger and driver get electrically operated lumbar support and heated seats.
The Volkswagen Gold GT, GTI and GTD models all feature sports seats with bolsters to secure occupants during enthusiastic driving. The Golf R models feature deeper bolsters. The Volkswagen Golf R model can also be specified with Recaro sports eats.
For the Volkswagen GT, this upgrade costs £140 and is added at no extra cost on the GTD, GTI and R models. This results in Volkswagen Golf GT prices starting at £21,310, GTD at £24,635, GTI at £25,305 and R at £31,420.
