Roberto Cavalli speaks of economic “dark sky”
Italian designer Roberto Cavalli spoke of the uncertain economy before his catwalk show at Milan Fashion Week. “Today, there is a very dark sky,” he said, before unveiling his new collection which acknowledges the economic downturn.
A high number of pieces in the spring-summer 2010 line were completely black, despite it being an unusual colour for summer.
His designs also included much gold detailing, perhaps in reference to the current high value of the metal.
